The Warkworth Library is excited to be a part of the Warkworth Maple Syrup Festival this year!
We will be open to the public on March 11th and 12th from 10 am to 3pm and we have some great activities planned.
On Saturday, March 11th at 10:30, Watercolour Artist Alex Lowe will be holding an adult / teen painting class in which attendees will have a chance to paint a “Sugar Shack” themed landscape. This program has a limited number of spaces, and the cost per participant is just $10. You can register by emailing Patrick at warkworthlibrary@trenthills.ca. In the afternoon of the 11th, we will be offering maple-themed crafts for children and setting up robot stations where kids can explore a variety of robotic challenges.
On Sunday, we will be offering a kids painting workshop with Alex Lowe from 10:30 to 12:00. This workshop will give kids a chance to learn how to sketch and paint, and will be offered free of charge. Spaces are limited, and parents can register their kids aged 7-13 by emailing Patrick at warkworthlibrary@trenthills.ca. During the afternoon of the 12th, our popular library train set will be available for free play for kids and maple-themed crafts will be available as well.
During both days, access to our washrooms will be available and a Storywalk, featuring the picture book “Maple Moon” by Connie Brummel Crook will be set up along Main Street for parents and children to read as they stroll the open shops.
